IBM Z & IBM Quantum Web + AR
We built a clean, responsive UI to highlight IBM’s most powerful processing machines. The site uses interactive animations to teach users about their industry impact, and a simple tap brings the models to life with augmented reality. I led the art direction, animation and layout, and co-led the UI/UX.
For effective user experience design in augmented reality and 3D web experiences, a significant number of prototyping and animation previews are essential.
UI/UX
Building an interactive experience requires a thoughtful approach to motion, as it’s the primary driver of the user journey and key messaging. Working with lead product designer @Bip, we developed the motion and UI design in tandem, guided by a provided content outline. The development process became straight forward.
UX Motion Prototype
We brought these powerful processors to life by showing what they can do and highlighting the IBM team's expertise. We created profiles to showcase each person's role in building them, detailing how every component worked together.
Animation
To deliver seamless performance across Three.js and WebAR, I imported optimized, fully textured models from 3D artist @elliotJohnson into Cinema 4D. There, I authored the specific animation clips and rigged the target action states required by the development team to drive the interactive user experience.
