CSUN Web Experience

California State University, Northridge needed a bold, energetic way to introduce students to an immersive career-focused experience. The piece highlights a branded 360° environment where students can explore career pathways, interact with guided content, and experience the CSUN Matador identity in a more dynamic, digital-first format.

My role covered creative direction, art direction, and motion design, shaping the visual language, pacing, and storytelling system for the final vertical video presentation.

The Challenge

The project needed to communicate more than a standard campus or program overview. It had to make the experience feel:

  • Immersive and interactive

  • Student-centered

  • Connected to CSUN’s Matador pride

  • Clear enough to understand quickly in a vertical social format

  • Visually exciting without losing the educational/career-path focus

The goal was to turn a career exploration tool into something that felt modern, branded, and approachable.

I collaborated closely with a senior web developer, UI/UX designer, and CG team to bring the experience to life across digital interaction, interface design, and immersive 3D content. My focus was making sure all parts of the project felt cohesive — from the CSUN brand expression and motion system to the way the 360° career path experience was presented on screen.

Team Collaboration

This project brought together multiple disciplines:

  • Senior Web Developer: supported the technical build and interactive experience

  • UI/UX Designer: helped shape the user flow, interface structure, and interaction design

  • CG Team: developed the 3D/immersive visual content used within the experience

  • My Role: led the creative vision, art direction, motion design, and final visual storytelling
