Fuel Cell Energy

An award-winning, interactive WebGL 3D walkthrough that translates FuelCell Energy's complex carbonate fuel cell and CO2 recovery technology into a highly digestible B2B educational tool.

UX Strategy

It was imperative we made sure the animation and layout worked both on mobile, desktop, and tablet. We built an interactive story around a fictional beverage company to make sustainability concepts tangible, ending with a dynamic carbon savings calculator to drive user engagement.

CG & Layout

Constructed a stylized, high-fidelity 3D industrial plant architecture optimized for browser performance, using a clean color-coded system to visually separate different technical zones (e.g., fuel flexibility, steam-reforming, purification, and water circularity modules).

Digital illustration of a fuel cell energy facility layout, showing facility entrance, fuel cell station, CO2 storage tank, skid 3, and fuel cell with work in progress branding.
A large industrial building with a billboard on the front displaying a logo with the word "Cola" and a bottle graphic. The building has multiple loading docks with trucks parked in front. There are trees along the parking lot and an open area surrounding the building, with a mountainous background.

Camera & Direction

Designed an intuitive, hotspot-driven virtual tour that seamlessly blends bird's-eye architectural overviews with macro-level kinetic focus, guiding users sequentially through the closed-loop industrial process.
