Givaudan Chef’s Council VR Experience

An immersive, spatial VR portal designed to guide users through an interactive culinary exploration set against a high-fidelity London rooftop environment. I led the art direction, UI/UX, and UI motion system.

Explore world-class dishes in full 3D, right from the kitchen. Then, take a seat at the chefs' roundtable to hear from the culinary masters’ insights in stunning stereoscopic VR.

Finally, get hands-on in the prototype section, where you'll prep, cut, and serve your own alternative protein plate.

Designing the space

Our rooftop concept, was designed to feel like an exclusive, living lounge and garden. Like Givaudan as a brand, we created a natural, open-air environment with a clean, cozy aesthetic. The layout prioritizes a sense of order and harmony, ensuring the space is both organized and inviting. The G Wall was a great way to base the whole space around it.

Crafting the UI/UX journey

Chef’s Council became a way to discover the challenges and successes of VR. We were able to learn how distance and legibility are perceived when merging stereoscopic video and photography with 3D rendered real-time assets and typography.

UI/UX Motion

The Kitchen

The chefs were showcased using actual event footage of their presentation; and a reconstructed 3D replica of their dishes, using image-depth data, appearing in-front of the users on the kitchen island.
