Princess Cruises: Eagle Quest Experience

We designed the premier cruise line flight simulator by leveraging motion-sensing technology to create a high-fidelity, interactive experience.

Soar over Alaska as a bald eagle, using intuitive hand and body gestures to guide your flight.

Built for Possibility

Process

We integrated A.I. in our pipeline, leveraging it for everything from conceptual inspiration to 3D asset generation and UI animation. While we traditionally rigged and animated the Eagle and sourced environment packs; A.I. accelerated the production of the surrounding environment and supporting assets.

Body-motion activated.

Development

By utilizing the Azure Kinect DK’s sophisticated ToF (Time-of-Flight) depth sensor and skeletal tracking, We engineered a responsive motion-control system outputting to a 65" UHD display for maximum visual immersion.

UX

We engineered the experience for universal accessibility, optimizing the motion-tracking and flight-paths to accommodate diverse heights, physical abilities, and user needs.

Results

The installation achieved high user engagement, with participants of all ages and physical abilities successfully navigating the flight path through an intuitive, barrier-free interface.
